1963 Skyline. Either Nissan or Prince |

Assuming that it is a Skyline, it will be a Prince. Nissan took Prince over in 1965-6, but the various Prince models - Skyline, Gloria etc remained as Princes until about 1967. -- Last edit: 2009-03-17 08:14:31 |

There was no S50. The model shown here is an Skyline 1500 Deluxe (S50D), which was the first model offered. The base model (S50S) followed in April 1964. |

I guess S50 is used as generic code for all the S50-something. Like for the J-codes of the Land Cruiser that are also simplified here. |

Is part of the S5 Series Prince Skyline. S50 was 1500cc version (S50D was deluxe, S50S was standard trim), S54 was 2000GT version (S54A was single carb GT-A, S54B was triple weber GT-B). The last of the S50 1500cc versions were recoded as S57 and badged as a Nissan Skyline and had rectangular tail lights, where as all previous Skylines (after the August 1966 Prince/Nissan merger) were still badged as Prince, with a small Nissan badge on the rear, with the Gloria also badged similarly. |
