Ford LTD Crown Victoria Wagon. I'm not sure whether it's a Country Squire or not, but it looks to be a pre-1986 model as there is no third brake light. Given how the blue Ford oval is on the steering wheel this would make it at least a 1982. Unless there's something someone else knows that I don't. |

I like the black and red 1994+ Dodge Ram visible through the windshield in thumbnails 3 & 4; it's a very nice color combo on those trucks. I think it may also be an anachronism in this movie. |

Not a Coutry Squire, no wood trim. |

From the mirror and dashboard I can tell it's somewhere between 1981-86 |

Oh ok, then give it 1982 for the year then. 1982-85 is a prettty small range so you can't have an objection to that can you? -- Last edit: 2009-03-16 05:02:02 |

Nope. I was just waiting to see if anybody else knew of any other differences between 1982 and 1983 models. |

The vehicle you see is a Crown Vic wagon, not a Country Squire due to the lack of woodgrain. It is a 1983 or newer. You can tell the difference by the grill, and also the fact that the 1982 models did not have the blue Ford oval on the steering wheel but rather the LTD logo/crest. I believe 1983 was the first year for fuel injection as the 1982 CS we had had a carb engine, 302 V-8. I also believe that the cruise control buttons were moved from the top spokes of the steering wheel to the bottom in 1983. Our 1982 Country Squire was the car I learned to drive on. My father loved it - loaded to the max with every option! We waited 3 months for it to get built! |
