Its possible it was the Diamonds are Forever car. this is a 71. it has the flip open gas cap. It is early 1971 because the first few mach 1's didnt have the side stripe. |

Customizer Gene Winfield writes in his biography that Ford provided a new Mustang as the "hero car", while he provided the car for the explosion - an insurance writeoff that had been burned. A quick coat of paint and some foil tape around the windshield, et voila (or et boum?). |
