This is a Ford LTD Landau, extended body, round headlights replaced by squared ones, not original. Landau was produced with this body from 76 to 82. The base car is the 1966 Ford Galaxie(USA), with sucessive restyling. From 76 on, Ford replaced old Y-block 272-292 by a much modern 302, made in Canada, also utilised here in the Maverick, with c-4 automatic ou usual three-in-the column mechanic gearbox for Galaxie, or 4-floor for Maverick. |

By the front I had a little ZIL-impression... |

I agree. The beautiful Galaxie in Brasil was produced in 75. But the 302 engine was far better, if not automatic. The C4 automatic gearbox was not adequate to a large and heavy body. Visit http://www2.uol.com.br/bestcars/classicos/galaxie-1.htm |
