Phaeton refers to the body type. A Phaeton is a four door open car without roll up door windows. Only side curtains were used for keeping the weather out of a phaeton. Earlier cars (Model T) of this body type were referred to as being a touring. Open cars that had roll up glass windows were referred to as being a convertible. This conversation could go on and on. |
