British Ford Y, isn't it?

Somehow doesn't look right. Maybe it is a German one?

Or French, possibly. Certainly not British.

It may be a 1933 Ford S.A.F 6cv Y coach série that has undergone later modifications : the wheels are not the original wires and the grille does not show the slant of the original model though the grille shell is also painted as on the cheaper coach série.

I don't know, greybear, but my Dad's 1940 Anglia [E04A] did, so it may have been a Ford feature as early as 1933.

I wrote my original post because I couldn't remember my dad's Ford 10 (7W) having them! Though the front screen opened IIRC. It just seems something of a luxury at a time when cars were very expensive and such things as heaters were extras.
