Messrs H & H remind us that 'the Vauxhall 14 J-type was a surprisingly quick (six cylinder) car in the late forties offering 75mph and 28mpg..' Little wonder that one or two examples found their way to Silverstone before racing saloons were termed 'touring' cars. |
