Pokeoddsponge ◊ 2008-10-15 06:04	1988-1991 Ward Volutneer school bus 1988 was the first year for the rubrail below the window. The "hood" warning lamp visors seen here were only used 1984-1991. Speaking of which, the story of the warning lamp visors on Ward/AmTran/IC buses is actually sort of an interesting one, they changed to this style in 1984, and changed back to the old pre-84 style in 1992 (using the exact same design), probably because places like California and Massachusetts prefer to spec the "old style" with the "smaller" visors, but in 2005 with the redesign of the Volunteer (by this time called the CE), they again went back to the "hood" style seen here. So the design changed back and forth twice! I guess they couldn't make up their mind on what design was best?
