Ford Escort Express |

Is "Express" its real name? The other of the site have simply been listed as "Van" |

I think it was just "Van" in the UK. Perhaps Express is a European name? |

I know that Express was the name of the van based on the Renault Supercinq (new 5), called only "Renault Express". But I do not know for the Ford, I really not remember if it had a special name. These were not very common in France & Belgium. -- Last edit: 2006-01-23 19:44:48 |

Mk.6 then? Looks quite complicated on Wikipedia -- Last edit: 2006-01-23 22:11:15 |

Mk 6 ? It's a fourth generation Escort, with the 1992 face-lift. Ah, this British "Mk" system, sometimes... -- Last edit: 2006-01-23 22:15:58 |

1995 model was listed as Mk.7 here, and the 1990 model is listed as Mk.5 on Wikipedia. It seems that Mk.5 is the 4th generation, like the Mk.6 and 7 actually which are only facelifts. -- Last edit: 2006-01-23 22:16:16 |

-- Last edit: 2006-01-23 22:21:22 |

I have updated a lot of Ford Escorts, most year/type info and mk number where missing. I think it is more complete now. But one question should we see the difference between this /vehicle_19471-Ford-Escort-Van-1993.html (Mk5b) car and this car: /vehicle_52232-Ford-Escort-1990.html (Mk5) as a different MK level? In my opinion it is the same car, with just minor optical adjustments. (you could also make that difference for the MKIII for instance) The 1995 (Mk6) type is more changed. What do you guys think? -- Last edit: 2006-11-02 20:44:11 |

Lots of cars have intermediate restyling. See the Clio: not all Clio 2 have the same front-end. |
