It appears to have a US licence plate, but it's RHD and presumably UK specification so is it road legal there?

By the way, some of our RS200s are marked as model origin Germany, some UK and some US. And Wikipedia says that Ford contracted assembly out to Reliant because of its expertise in fibreglass bodies.

Yes it is the 80's RS200 EVO by the looks of things... Will get confirmation soon.

The RS200 was built for the Group B Rally Championship in the 80's. It's not called Cosworth or Sierra but the engine was made by Cosworth.

Well, I can't say I wasn't pleased, when they started using big wing Sierra Cosworth.

This scene is set in the Dominican Republic. The license plates are similar to New Jersey plates, but they are supposed to be from the D.R.

Just wondering, isn't this line up a bit unfair?
Even if it is a kitcar, in the movie is is suppose to represent the real deal.
Looking at the large air intakes, it is styled like the Evolution versions of the RS200, the ones with 700+ BHP...
Versus a Toyota Corrola-AE86. A bit of a one sided race :)

l33tj0s: you're right in terms of power the RS200 definitely pips it, even in standard form!

I wonder how both would do drifting though... RS200 is 4WD iirc...

There are no regulations against driving RHD cars in the U.S., although if the car is 25 years old and under it has to be approved for federal emissions and safety compliance.

The RS 200 must be compliant, though, as there was a legally registered one for sale on EBAY not long ago, and in California, no less (eco-Nazi central).
