Jaguar Mk X 3.8 Litre 1962 to 1964, or 4.2 Litre 1965 to 1966 (not much chance of this as the film is dated 1965). The 420G was not introduced until 1967. The 420 was a smaller car based on the S-Type and again not introduced until 1967, therefore the above picture has to be a Mk X. -- Last edit: 2008-09-04 10:00:32 |

I think this one is a Mark X. When they changed to the 4.2 litre engine - about 1965? - it was renamed 420G. |

This Mk 10 is likely to be on fake plates; the VUF 73 number dates from much earlier then when this car was registered and VUF 23 can be seen on one of the Wolseley 'squad cars, so it's highly likely this was a number placed on the car by the production company to mask its real identity. -- Last edit: 2018-04-15 18:39:51 |
