Overall, this is a great car chase, and a bad one. The car itself is cool for sure. Euro, early, 745i Turbo, weird color (may not be original). Super stunts, chases, drving through park, jumps, sidewalks, and crashing into dept. store. The bad: Horrible, just awful sound effects. Not the real thing. Worst BMW engine sound dubbing I've ever heard in a movie! Talk about low budget! The engine sound effects sound as though they are from some 4-cylinder Honda, which just revs over and over, like it's in Neutral (not under load) - really pathetic! It ruins what could have been a great E23 car chase.

I just saw it at italian TV...Very nice chase with this '80 Euro 745i Turbo Automatic. I don't know if the color is original...a strange light blue. It was equipped with black leather seats, aftermarket 'golden' wheels, and also a fake 'M' badge on the rear, near the '745i' one. It wasn't so damaged during that amazing scene, then in the store was a few shooted. I agree with you, Adrian, on the sound: one of the worst dubbing! Horrible!

Oh good! I'm glad someone finally commented on this. Thanks Benny, glad you agree with me. The dubbing on this 745i is a disgrace to BMW and the movie.

Yes, indeed it is! Cool car and cool scene, but sounds ruin all!

Probably BBS optional wheels. BMWs were sometimes sold with BBS, though I don't know if these where factory options or dealer options. The "M" badge is interesting, as M Technik never produced a true "M7", but could be some trim which I cannot identify. I don't see big air dams, rear spoilers or sideskirts. Maybe something in the interior trim or the aforementioned golden wheels and corresponding low-profile tires, though they don't look so low in the photographs. Oddly, I don't see the fog lamps. By the way, the M6 was sold outside the U.S. as "M635CSi". This 745i is not an Euro version, it is the U.S. version with side lights, amber in front and red at rear.
