Correct, except that this model ran a bit longer in ZA IIRC. There was a facelift in around 1995 that gave it this grille/ look. Trim makes it a 2-litre |

I am not quite sure whether they were still made in ZA by this time, or whether they were imported from Oz by then. At some point Toyota SA started focusing on Corollas and derivatives, Hi-ace and Hilux only. |

Can anyone tell if it's RHD or LHD? If it's LHD, it's certainly not 'made for ZA'. |

Guys, following all the healthy conversation on this one, I had another close look (Firefox 3 > Ctrl++) and I need to agree that this is not the Camry I initially thought it was. Not made in or for ZA, I'm sure - what it is, I will leave to you (who got more Toyotas of the era than the Corolla and Camry) to battle out .gif ";)") . |
