Is it supposed to be a Soviet vehicle?

A lot of Mission Impossible episodes were set in fictional Soviet-ish countries.

I'd assume it was supposed to represent a GAZ M23 Volga or M13 Chaika, which would be virtually impossible for the crew to acquire.

Why are we pinpointing this as a '62?
Didn't the Marathon style front end first appear in '61?

Was it the same from 1961 to 1962?

Since I posted my comment last February, I've been told that the dipped front bumper first appeared for m.y. 1962.
(However, I have never seen a Checker with the Marathon front and a straight-across bumper.)
