johnfromstaffs ◊ 2008-07-03 19:30	It is indeed a PLSC Lion. I have tried to find a record of this bus without success, maybe the number plate and the paint job in madder and cream, the Edinburgh Corporation colours were specially for the film. I'll keep looking.

I'm told this was a former Jersey bus, which would make it originally J4601, now preserved with registration JCP60F, a 1928 all-Leyland Lion PLSC1. It's now at the Science Museum site at Wroughton near Swindon. Have a look at http://bus-photos.fpic.co.uk/p7626772.html The Albion that was used was WG1448, a 1932 Albion Valkyrie PW65 with Alexander body. For the film it wore the registration SC9902.
