"GL" trim. [ED6] code. GL was the only trim level was offered on hatchbacks in Australia in this generation. Sedans were available in base DX (only from 1988-1989) or GL. From 1990 onwards, sedans were only available in GL. All sedans and hatches used the exact same 1.5L carburetted engine - EFI/fuel injection was not available. Sedans seem to have had the ED3 code, while hatches used ED6.

The reason there was no base model hatchback is that at the time, there were import restrictions (quotas) in Australia to protect the local industry. As such, car makers only chose to import the higher-end, more profitable models. Base models were rarely imported, or only imported in small numbers if they were at all. This changed in the 1990s, as quotas were abolished in 1992.

I will change all of them if you comment on every entry individually and keep your comments. Otherwise? Why bother.

@kegare - couldn't you comment on each of them? That would achieve the same result.

Comment for you? You should do it yourself.

MisterZ, it is not first request of putting comments on each page...

Yes, it is a problem, actually. MisterZ keeps deleting his comments every time the respective entry gets updated. And then the next admin doesn't know why the entry was made for X or built in X.
