stevanom ◊ 2012-02-05 12:32	1988+ ceclia convertible US market version with the 2.2 liter 2FSE engine to be recognised by : grill is from the 1988 facelift (model exists since 1985 but was facelifted in 1988) only the us market had the full hood with the small rear windows in glass. All Europe models had a targa roof (panel to be taken out) so you could drive half open. When that one was removed and put in the trunk you could ply back the rest of the roof behind the seats and have a fully open convertible. This version had plastic rear side windows. The European version came with the famous 3SGE 150 hp engine 2.0 injection DOHC, also used in the toyota MR, Lexus is200 and later celicas etc...
