It does have a protrusion in the middle but it doesn't seem detachable/accessible and is probably there just to support the stairs when lowered. -- Last edit: 2023-06-30 19:02:55

dsl ◊ 2023-06-30 20:07	I'd guess it is powered - otherwise you don't need the steering wheel, seat (which looks like a double) and other controls. No idea if electric or engined, but there's 2 of them in the wider shot. JBT seem to make similar electric things today (from here) but no doubt lots more possibilities.
