It looks like the scene from the days 23.to 28.October 1961, where the USA had a dispute with the Soviets in Berlin. The Soviets didn't let an US-officer go to East Berlin without a border-control. If yes, the pic may be shot at the crossing Kochstraße/Friedrichstraße in West-Berlin, close to the border-point "Checkpoint Charlie"
