Why is that so surprising? Nash was very successful in the immediate post-war years and saw exports to the whole world. This is a 1951, identifiable by the fins seen in the 1st thumb and the restyled dashboard. Shorter hood and lack of fender trim: Statesman. Based on the doorpanels: Super trim. |

We've had quite the appetite for foreign brands in the Post-War years, even if they might've not been as successful as the Big Three of Detroit... Anything from America or Europe would have been an easy sell  In fact I've spotted two Metropolitans in Japan over the years. Those tiny Nashes make more sense, as Japan was a country of small cars in the time. |
