While Chris is out for lunch, let me answer. I would agree with Max that it is the smaller Austin A40 Devon. Chassis codes for the Devon models were: [GS2] Oct47-Aug51, [GS2A] May49-Aug51 low spec. export model, [GS2B] 1948 Bermuda model, [GS3] Aug51-Feb52. |

No idea... I put it back. Btw. since this model was introduced in October 1947, according to Alexander, I'd say it should be listed as 1948. |

In the books I have Austin uses exact years, not model years. Before we use model years (of which I personally disapprove) we have to be certain that the company actually did use model years and when exactly a new model years for this specific company starts. Many companies use calendar years or only switched to model years some time during their existence (Volkswagen for example in 1955). |
