OK, I can't make out the coachbuilder, but I think this is something else - in the sense of this being a different vehicle wearing a full-on W221-costume. Just like the following Mexican hearse, based on a mystery chassis, pretending to be a BMW E65:

I'm useless when it comes to post-2000 mass production cars, so who recognizes (by the doors etc.) what base vehicle this might be?

It's definitely W140/ W220 or W221, I don't remember there was any other vehicles had converted to 'Mercedes S-Klasse hearse' in TW before
The coachbuilder is usually unknown, since we have plenty of companies are doing this for decades, and only few people care about who did the hearse
Also, it's easy for the them to use a original Mercedes body to convert it to another model
They usually pick a W140 from junkyard, and replacing its front end and other visible parts to newer model, these are examples

1. W140 to W221

3. Unknown, might be real W221, or 1./ 2.

Thanks, Andyhao! :) Quite difficult, judged by that one picture, but it might be the W140→W221 one here.

I know, that's the default setting in most countries - and one of the main reasons why I started investigating this field of specialist coachbuilding back in the 1990s. :p
