Very likely British Open Classic - everything looks right, despite the sunroof being camouflaged by photo. The BOC became BOC II for export in July 93 as a normal production for those markets until about 96, but we only got the first BOC in UK as a 92 batch of 1000. Bit odd some of the plate info throwing in City and Sprite, as they - City name never used in Europe was the basic version with 998cc (so renamed 1000 E for export) until 92 when it became the Sprite with 1275cc. As for versions available in I in 93, as far as I know Nightfire and Caribbean were colours (red and blue respectively) rather than editions, unless they were Italian specials (based on Sprite or Mayfair??) not listed in my Mini bible. But this is a chaotic topic - so many specials existed in small temporary batches for individual markets ... |

So possibly this very same one? /vehicle_1436060-Rover-Mini-British-Open-II-ADO20-1993.html Seems also the same location ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-03-29 23:27:29 |

Looks likely. But BOC/BOC II was almost always dark green so almost always look the same wherever they are. Except of course Germany got a late extra version in black, and Italy ended up with more versions in Nightfire Red and Tahiti Blue. So every time you try to say something solid about 90s Mini editions for Europe, along come a few woodworm to munch holes in what you've said, but I think we can follow the lead that it's the same one. |
