MisterZ ◊ 2014-03-05 08:14	This is a August 1998+ production model - due to the updated badging on the rear tail-gate with "MIRAGE" spelt out in large lettering. Update: plate WKB602 returns: 1999. Not knowing the first 2 digits, I started trying different combinations. NSW plates are issued in sequence, so knowing the approximate year of the vehicle, I was able to guess the first digit of the plate, and then I just had to try 26 possible combinations for the 2nd digit. Eventually I found one that matched (right down to the colour). Curiously, it says the registration expired on December 26, 2001, though, which has me puzzled as this was well over a year before the movie was released. Perhaps the movie was filmed before this date, though? Note: unlike the equivalent CE Lancer, the Mirage did not have trim levels in Australia.
