pilou ◊ 2006-01-08 20:32	This is a very interesting and relatively rare DeSoto Diplomat Convertible of 1949 ( series SP-18).It was the badge engineered Plymouth on the 1181/2 inches wheelbase chassis distributed in Chrysler's export markets.They were not available in the US .The aim was to offer overseas DeSoto dealers a cheaper and less taxed car to offer Convertibles of this model are unfrequently seen and this one is still in superb condition thanks to these movie pictures dating from 1953.The immatriculation number though seems unusual.Any ideas ?
