I did a further search on this one .It indeed appears to be different from the Ambassador Six listed not only because it has white sidewall tyres but also because its wheelbase and bonnet ( hood) lenght seem somawhat longer.It probably is a 1939 Nash Ambassador Eight here on the longer 125 inches wheelbase.I exclude 1940 because of the position of the headlights seen on the other picture of the whitewall tyres car in the movie : in 1940 the headlights were placed lower in the front fenders. |
