Isn't he supposed to be at the pearly gates awaiting the car and not designing it? |

^ Don't know - 8 years in a monastery school helped a lot to form my atheism! But 'Chalfont St Peter' is actually the answer to "where?" and not "who?". |

While referring to the village of Chalfont St Peter, one must never forget its close relative Chalfont St Giles, originator of the famous rhyming slang “a dose of the Chalfonts”. Piles more information available upon request. |

Well spotted Sad Biker, most of the noms de plume in one strip. Poor old Nobby, life’s a bit rough. -- Last edit: 2023-01-07 09:18:28 |

At this time, Eagle Specialist Vehicles Ltd were based at: 105 Manchester Road, Westhoughton, Westhoughton, Bolton, Lancashire, BL5 3QH. Wilcox & Co. (Limousines) Ltd. were distributors only. Nowadays, I believe that some of the Wilcox family are directors of Eagle? |

You're right, there are different adresses for these companies, but in a nutshell it's Wilcox all the way and always has been: Eagle Specialist Vehicles Ltd. first appeared in March 1985, the company was previously known (or unknown) as Wilcox Planning Consultants Limited since September 1981. Wilcox transferred the hearse production to its sister company Eagle Specialist Vehicles in 1985 and the last hearse officially built as Wilcox was B626MRK, the 1985 Daimler DS 420 that has become a part of history when it was used for the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, on Sept. 6th, 1997. |
