This looks pre-war - post war there were only vestigial running boards and the glovebox lid looks correct for that as well. As does the chrome strip down the bonnet. However the rear shot gives the impression of an extended boot which would make it post-war. If pre-war it could be a 16. Overall, most convincing of a late thirties car.

Doesn't look as if it's got the flying bird mascot of a Snipe/Super Snipe (which was particularly exaggerated pre-war, slightly toned down post-war), more like the flat design of a Hawk, plus very simple bonnet side trim. Can't find useful pics of a late pre-war 16 for comparison. so I'd go Hawk but date is beyond me.

On further examination it has an air vent behind the bonnet line so that makes it pre-war. The extended rear boot line could well be an illusion. Were it a hawk, it would be Mk 1 with no over-riders on the bumpers.
