For what I know (but I can be wrong), the 1997 Galloper was modified only in some of the above-mentioned removable parts, leaving most of the original Pajero at its place. But this is only my personal view, I'm open to discuss it. I agree what you said about older Seat cars: for example, I wouldn't consider a standard 2-doors 127 as a Spanish car, while it could be done for the 4-door versions (different bodyshell, if confirmed that the design was made by Seat in Spain)
