Wouldnt it be better to put it as origin germany, made for Brasil? it is just the European Ford Orion with a different name. |

According to Wikipedia it is a locally designed two-door saloon version of the European Ford Orion (and locally designed would mean Brazilian origin I suppose) |

Ford cogitated to manufacture in Brazil the European Orion, with low trunk and four doors. But in 1989, with Autolatina, Ford created a national and more imposing drawing, with back high, but with only two doors - preference of the market to the time. The GLX version, more luxurious, used the 1800 cm³ VW engine. In 1990 VW presented the first clone of Autolatina: the Apollo, version of Verona with trim differences. Released November of 1989 as a 1990 MY. I cannot locate any 1989 MYs. Yes some were 1989/1990 but the first number is the year of manufacture and second is MY. I will change the others to 1990. Another note to be listed. There weren’t any 1993 MY Verona. The refreshed German model was released in 1993 for the 1994 MY. |
