It probably says Blue-Bird. This looks to be a Blue-Bird Vision. -- Last edit: 2008-05-08 18:17:48 |

Probably a Blue Bird body with a GMC or Chevrolet chassis. Blue Bird used to put their badge on the hood sometimes, in place of the GMC or Chevy badge. I don't think the hood slopes enough for it to be a Vision. edit- and the "Gasoline Only" confirms this as I dont think the Blue Bird Vision is availble with a Gasoline engine... the GMC and Chevy chassis I think is the only chassis with a Gasoline engine after 1990 or something. also the stop sign on the right side is a mistake (or actually a joke used for the movie) -- Last edit: 2008-05-08 22:53:30 |

Yes it's a joke in the movie. The peter parker type character in the movie called 'Rick Riker', runs for the bus, bashes his head into the mirror, get's up and get's hit by the stop sign and is then knocked by the doors opening.! ![]() |

Some NYC buses have another door behind the driver - so students can be let off on that side when on a one way street. I don't know if they still do that or not. However, I can't recall seeing one with a stop sign on the right. |

Some buses do have a stop sign on the right side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrpcymtGaUE This bus is definitely not a Vision. A Vision has a slanted hood. http://www.schoolbusland.com/blue/images/k32453_1.jpg I personally think this is a BlueBird/GMC CV200. I say that based on this link: /vehicle_146809-GM-CV200.html -- Last edit: 2011-05-25 04:26:56 |

I can't tell if it has a GMC badge on the front, bc if it doesn't, it's a 1998 and up model, if it does, it's a 1997 and lower model. |

General Motors entered into a 11-year supply agreement with Blue Bird, starting with 1992 production. Although the Blue Bird Conventional would remain available on other chassis (Ford, Navistar, and later Freightliner), the school bus version of the Chevrolet Kodiak/GMC TopKick would become the standard version of the Blue Bird Conventional, called the Blue Bird/GM CV200. The CV200 was produced until 2003. So a 1992-2003 Blue Bird GM CV200 |
