Haven't found an event with a Jag E2A with #10, so trying a different strategy. I think the track for this and other captures could be Sebring, with some of the others apparently matching 1958 race. If that works, #10 was Cunningham team Lister Jaguar #BHL101, but unclear if it has tail fin; Cunningham also had Lister BHL102 (#11) and a D-Type (#12) in same event. Can't find other Sebring years with a Jaguar-like Cunningham livery #10. Daytona did not have significant races until mid-60s. |

Interesting with the Cunningham approach. I have been thinking the second car has a BMW engine because of the kidney like shape of the rear, but naturally it's because of the Cunningham or the Lister Jaguar twin blue stripes. This might not be easy as apart from the factory D-types, and the four Cunninghams, there were som 20 (!) more https://www.racingsportscars.com/type/jaguar/D-type.html with special bodies. That is if I have interpreted the chassis numbers correctly. |

It's possible that this is the footage from 1957 Sebring race, #10 was Jaguar D-type c/n #XKD 528, driven by R. V. Milosevich https://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Sebring-1957-03-23.html (no picture, just listed that it didn't finish the race due to the issues with the rear axle) This entry with #11 race number is from the same event, which might be Ferrari 315 Sport c/n #0674 (according to the entry list above) -- Last edit: 2022-11-08 19:10:16 |
