First of all, this is a Super Deluxe Eight rather than a Custom Eight.
In 1948-early '49 models, only the Custom Eight had the eggcrate grille but for the late '49-'50 models, this feature was extended to the Super Deluxe Eight.
You can tell a Custom Eight by the fact that the belt trim extends all the way around the bottom of the trunk lid, which is not present on the subject car.

Secondly, 1950's were identical to the late '49's. We always list here as first possible model year unless we know otherwise by serial number or if the car is specifically known to someone.

Changing from 1950 to 1949 and listing as Super Deluxe Eight.
