However, the film is from 1972 which means they might be original after all. The wheels (14" rims with small hubcap and big chromed embellishers) might indicate a 1966-67 250 SE [W 111].

You're absolutely correct.

But then it becomes really tricky, that is because the wheels are interchangable.
However, the film is from 1972 which means they might be original after all.

The wheels (14" rims with small hubcap and big chromed embellishers) might indicate a 1966-67 250 SE [W 111].
