Doubling for the One-Sixty. Can be identified as such by the different hood ornament, bumper, hood trim and more notably, the hood script. |

Should this remain listed as One-Twenty or be changed to Eight? To my understanding, the One-Ten and One-Twenty nameplates were abandoned for 1942 and replaced with Six and Eight respectively (which had been done previously in 1938). On this example (and others found on the web), the hood script clearly reads One-Twenty. Six/One-Ten has no script there and as such I think One-Ten is rightfully omitted for that model. In this article, the model name is listed as Clipper Eight. Seems to be part of the "Custom Six and Eight" model line in the 1942 Packard Clipper (Junior) brochure, however. |
