We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided BMW X7 XDRIVE40D MHEV AUTO 2022 Registration number: BUY 1 Body type: Estate Colour: Grey Date of first registration: January 2022 BUY 1 was chassis S850006 - "Supplied to Henlys, London (despatched 14 April 1961) as a steel-bodied roadster. Sold to Coombs of Guilford as a demonstrator. [Later] became development car and increasingly prepared by works [and raced in 61-62]... In the winter of 1962/63 became prototype for Lightweight E-Type, extensively rebuilt with many modifications, principally aluminum shell and aluminum block engine.". Survives now after various rebuilds/restos as white Lightweight hardtop with 4 WPD plate. BUY 1 moved to various other cars over the years, including at one stage a 1971 E-Type S3 V12 FHC. |
