She takes her one car ride with her dad before he flees to escape paying back a large amount of money. This would place this scene in the 1960s.
nzcarnerd ◊ 2008-04-18 11:13	This is not a Toyota Crown. It is an early Prince Skyline from about 1960. Haven't yet worked out exactly which one it is. Check out the 1960 car on this page and compare the front bumper area. Its a 1963 Prince Skyline Super (the Deluxe version) S21D-4.

The S21-4 series were released in September 1962 and replaced with the new shape Skyline in November 1963. They are a facelifted version of the BLSI-3 series of May 1961-Sept 1962, with changes made to the front wings, hood, grille and headlight postion. Other than that they were identical in chassis, body, drivetrain etc, other than a few interior trim changes etc, to the previous Skylines. Although still a rare car in New Zealand, there are more surviving S21 series Skylines here than any of the others. I have both a 1962 BLSID-3 Skyline and a 1963 S21 Skyline wagon, badged as a Skyway.
