The apparatus listed here is a 1921 Seagrave Combination Chemical & Hose wagon, one of nine purchased that year by the LAFD. It is most likely a reserve rig (with a rebuilt radiator from a 1914’s vintage Seagrave) at the time of filming as it still has an exempt license plate of [E]19439. Unable to recognize in these photos but they are Seagrave hubcaps and the radiator has the vintage Seagrave logo before going to the familiar oval. The fire station filming location is that of LAFD Station 61 at 5821 W. Third Street. |
