I think that this may be the 1956 Silver Wraith built by Hooper for Nubar Gulbenkian. It had a clear perspex top when new and appears to have been messed about a bit. It took me a little while to find this, as the headlight treatment, plus the French connection sent me into Chapron territory. -- Last edit: 2022-07-26 19:45:48 |

👍 Photo from “Justacarguy - - “The strange taxi of Nubar Gulbenkian” http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2017/05/the-strange-taxi-of-nubar-gulbenkian.html“Hooper body design #8449, and unique. The car was intended for use in the south of France, and had an electrically operated fabric inner blind to keep the interior cool. The dashboard and other areas normally in wood were covered in leather, and the car had a second speedometer in the rear compartment.” Coachwork on Rolls-Royce and Bentley - James Taylor - Herridge and Sons 2019.
