290 films to look out for, plus the TV stuff! Did he ever stop working? Seeing JCB’S note, I looked up “Cockleshell Heroes”, remembering the old Spike Milligan jokes with David Lodge. In May 1940 Churchill sent him and his part time soldier gang the Queen Victoria Rifles over from London to defend Calais to the death . They spent two days fighting and the survivors five years in Poland as a POW's (where Kydd organised the concert party surprisingly!) They were called the weekenders ! From pictures, Dennis adverts and period photographs, I cannot separate the later Dennis Pax IV (sidelights moved over the headlights) or an early (1966-68?) Pax V. More Pax V changes appeared after 'G' reg. I believe. edit: the Pax V was introduced early 1963 therefore unless there was some overlap, the Pax V was 1960-63 and likely had the lower mounted side-lights.
