Since I am from South Africa, this pictured peaked interest as I picked it up as a Lada Wagon in other markets which was not sold in South Africa during that period, but rather Fiat was sold here. It seems the car was modified to a pickup style vehicle with permanent canopy maybe?

Fiat 134"R" it seems, but only called Fiat 124 in our market.
