It was called Cabrio in Spain, not Cascada, hence "made for E".

Huh, didn't know that by now, I thought the Cascada is the only name for that car in its four different brand logos. While other European countries outside of Spain kept the Cascada name, is this something has to do with the Spanish conflicts that prevents Opel from bringing that name to the Spanish market?

could also be that a company ( or whatever else ) has the rights to the name Cascada so Opel can't use it in that market

Or maybe you'd think twice before buying a convertible named waterfall ?

Whoops, forgot the meaning, thanks for the heads-up. Cascada means "waterfall" in Spanish, even thought it's a nice name, seems Spain don't like how Opel used that name for the convertible, finding to be too offensive for the car and could disrespect their culture, hence why Opel changes the name to Cabrio for the Spanish market only.

...or some Spain business earlier reserved 'Cascada' as trademark.

Cascada being a common name i don't see why/how a country could prevent Opel from using it... i'm sure the name was already taken so they had to pick a new ( not really original.. ) name for it

 yeah, would be need to be tested with the top up in the rain before buying... :D

I don't know about Spain, but in Norwegian, to describe something as a 'waterfall' often has a negative meaning, i.e. 'snakke som en foss' (lit. talk like a waterfall = talk too much).
And there's a verb 'å fosse' (lit. to waterfall = to gush, i.e. to spill a fluid rapidly to great excess, like blood gushing from an open wound or water gushing from heavy rain or a dam leaking, for instance.

about the fluid we have a similar thing here with fountain ( or sometimes faucet ) replacing the waterfall
