Based on your other comment: /vehicle_1578128-Honda-Grand-Civic-Nouva-SH3-1991.html#Comment3777668 I say Civic Nouva without 'Grand' prefix at the start should be the more appropriate model name for 1988 only. I don't agree if the 'Grand' prefix was applied to the hatch at that time. Can you double check the brochures/print ads again to verify? |

The hatchback version wouldn't be known as the Nouva until it would receive its official name of Grand Civic Nouva for 1989. All 1988-1989 SH3s and 4s were known as the Grand Civic but the SH4 sedan received the sole LX trim until it was removed for 1990.
