This is not a flower car, but a recreational vehicle, for sure! There were numerous body shops offering these El-Camino-like fashion pick ups on Coupe/ Sedan de Ville chassis, e. g. Traditional Coach Works, ACC (American Custom Coachworks), Wisco etc. In this case I´m pretty sure it´s the "Caribou" by "American Built Cars, Inc." of San Francisco, which featured a complete fiberglass shell from the windshield to the rear bumper. So, I´d list it as "197? Cadillac Coupe de Ville "Caribou" Pick Up by American Built Cars" (if there´s enough space .gif ";)") ) |

Wouldn't "197? Cadillac 'Custom'" be more appropriate? Since we're never going to find out the coachbuilder, and it would enable all these one-off creations to be grouped together. |

No, without the coupe Deville window. This is just a regular Cadillac flower car. |

No not built on the commercial chassis and is clearly Coupe DeVille based. |

Update: It appears like "American Built Cars" wasn't the inventor of these pick ups and the Caribou Motor Company of Grover City, California, is regarded as the actual coachbuilder. |
