pilou ◊ 2008-03-13 14:55	It is not a 1941 but a 1940 Lincoln Continental Club Coupe ( 57) : it has no standing lights on top of the front fenders and it has classic door handles ( the 1941's had door opening by push buttons and front fender standing lights.

pilou ◊ 2008-03-13 15:26	In 1940 Continentals were still considered as a sub style of the Zephyr line and nowhere did the name Continental appear.The Continental became a series of its own in 1941 as the Zephyr designation was dropped from the car and the Continental became an independent model range.So strictly speaking it is a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Club Coupe model 57 distinctive from the normal club coupe model 77.However the cars became quickly known as Continental and most historical documents use Lincoln Continental also for the 1940 cars.
