The mid-size F-Reihe truck was developed by Hanomag but introduced to the market in 1969 under the Henschel brand name. By the end of 1969 the name was changed to Hanomag-Henschel and produced until 1974 when the brand name was dropped completely. In 1970 Rheinstahl, owner of Hanomag and Henschel, sold the truck business to Daimler-Benz. From 1971 on this truck was also available as a Mercedes-Benz and known as Typ HH. These were mainly dumper trucks. Now we have three names. Henschel alone is the rarest, Hanomag-Henschel most common, but as it is a dumper truck Mercedes-Benz is not unlikely. Still I would opt for using Hanomag-Henschel. |
