From the partial fleetnumber I believe it's a DEL-class Dennis Dart with East Lancs body - however the batch was all sold out of London service by 2004, so which one of the 11 in the class it was I don't know.

The fleet number (next to the indicator light) is DB1039.

Been away walking the dog  ....then I could be wrong - can you pick out the fleetname on the front? I suspect the fleetnumber is a fake made up for the paint job for the movie. Have a look at http://www.countrybus.org/Dart/DEL.htm
I'm reasonably confident it's a step entrance (that is, not low floor) Dennis Dart, but if it's been painted for the movie it needn't even be ex London.

It's funny, I went to bed just before you posted that!

I'm not sure what that fleet name is.

....which ought to make it a lot easier, but I'm really struggling to find a Redroute candidate. They're a smallish operator with a lot of secondhand stock. I thought for a while it was L503HKM, which would make it a rarity, a Dennis Dart with Wadham Stringer body, but look at this: - http://graham1740.fotopic.net/p44787728.html - I think the indicator's in the wrong place. If you can review the footage (I recall there's not much to see), you might be able to confirm or deny.

I don't think it's that one. For one thing, if you look at the main image, the windscreen doesn't curve around the sides.

The bus appears three times, two very short scenes where Shaun rides it (in the last one he gets off in a traffic jam) and one bit where it drives past (in front of a zombie tramp trying to eat a pigeon).

I wonder if these will help a bit:

I think it has 8 windows along the side (including the driver's side window and the emergency exit door)

Aaargh! Dunno - I don't believe it's originally a London vehicle, and I can't identify it with Redroute. I'll have to do some more research....

I've seen this sequence again, and gone through it frame by frame, and I'm now reasonably confident it's a Leyland Lynx, not a Dart. Redroute have had three that I could trace, but as you never see anything but part of the side, and I've not been able to identify that fleet number.........

It's definitely a Leyland Lynx mk1 as the off side windscreen slopes into the frame at the top
