![]() ![]() According to a dialogue, it's a 1976 280Z, imported from the US. |

The bumpers aren't US, but they also don't look original Z bumpers |

are they reliable ? often they say this or that in dialogue and... oops... ( talking in general, not this series in particular, i never watched so i can't tell ) -- Last edit: 2022-01-03 07:59:55 |

I see no reason to disbelieve the dialog at 1976. From the front view it doesn't look like it has the 1977-78 vented hood. The bumpers are aftermarket, and probably the Vietnamese reproduction 240Z bumpers. Actually a really good quality product, and I bet we see them show up on a lot of 280Zs in modern filming going forward. These are same bumpers that are on the car used in the new Matrix. They're available with and without reproduction rubber strips and guards, but a lot of people are opting for the chrome-only look with no holes drilled. I actually have a set of these waiting to be installed on my 1978 280Z that's basically the same color. |

thanks ![]() its just that we have numerous examples of " was said in dialogue " that doesn't fits what we have before our eyes ( all models combined, not only Z ) |

Absolutely agreed. Just, in this case, it seems like they might have gotten it right. ![]() |
