 Colour split is better match for Mk4 [ADO38G]. If 61 date as entered is plate date it would fit either late Mk3 or very early Mk4.

Plate M282920 returns a MG registered in August 1961 but I don't know if there are other differences between series.

 Apart from the colour split, I don't think there's any visual way of splitting the 2 versions. The Mk4 had engine upgrade, slightly longer wheelbase and wider tracks - but in each case by less than 2" so impossible to recognise. Aug 61 is the exact month of the Mk4 launch, so this would have to be one of the very first and a special delivery to reach Spain so quickly. I've got book photos which suggest Mk3 did not have reflectors under tail-lights, as if these were Mk4 features (and Riley 4/68 and 4/72), but real googled photos show them on several Mk3s.
