It should be noted that the E32 was available in the US in 1987. In this year, both the 735i and the 735iL were introduced as 1988 models. And the 750iL was introduced later that year as an `88 model. The 740i and 740iL was 1993. The E32 final year was 1994. By the way, this car was not used hardly at all in this film. Definetly does not deserve 3 stars! 2 maybe, if that. Not worth seeing this movie for the car. Only the US E32 735's had this narrow kidney grille, the 740's and 750 used a much wider kidney grille. The more I look at this picture, the more I think it's a 735iL - see the headlight washer jets on the bumper? Only the iL's came standard with this feature. I don't think it was available on the short wheelbase models. This is a `88-`92 735iL - positive. (Not an `87 sorry). -- Last edit: 2006-03-21 22:14:53 |

It was used in more than one scene by the characters, so it gets three stars... that's the rating system used currently. |

What's really strange is that it's driven by Jeremy Piven's character who was depicted as a successful businessman. I would expect that he would drive a 740iL E38 at least. |

He plays an estate agent. Does every estate agent drive a new BMW 7-series? Also 1988 is the earliest possible (model) year for this car, it could be newer. Jeremy Piven later drove a new 7-series in the first series of Entourage /vehicle_138972-BMW-745i-E65-2002.html but in that he plays an A-list Hollywood agent who would earn much, much more.
